Adobe Construction

Short Description of Adobe Construction

Adobe is a natural construction material mixed together with clay sand, & dung, straw or other materials containing fibers, this mix is then molded / formed into individual bricks using a frame system which is then dried out in the sun.

Adobe construction is very similar to mud-brick and cob construction. Adobe buildings are very hardy and account for some of the oldest buildings on our planet.

These buildings also offer distinct advantages in dry and hot climates; they remain far cooler as the adobe walls store and distribute heat incredibly slowly.
