10 Best Face Washes for Men

WASHING YOUR face morning and night is one of the best things you can do for your skin.

Not only does it wash away impurities, dirt, and pollution but it can also make you feel pretty good too!

But with a wealth of mens face washes on the market it can be hard to decide which one is the best to pick.

Firstly, looking at your skin type is an important aspect of buying a face wash. Some are made specifically for oily skin or they tackle congestion. Others are formulated for dry or mature skin to fight the signs of ageing. Navigating the world of skin care is no easy task but with a wide variation of products available there’s something for all skin types.

Then there’s the price range. While some are on the higher end of the scale and described as a lux product, there are also budget buys which can work just as well. It’s all about finding the right product that works for your skin, which when used on a daily basis can leave the face looking smoother, softer, energised, and younger.

Once you have found a favourite product, most people will use a face wash in the morning as well as the evening. After a long day there can be impurities and dirt that has built up on the skin which if not cleaned can make skin dull and even cause breakouts.

Many people also wonder why you should also use a face wash in the morning?

Well, in the night whilst sleeping you shed dead skin cells with experts citing about 3.3 grams fall off a week! So when you wake up it is best to give a good clean to remove these. It can also be part of a self-care routine in helping to wake up the skin, and making you feel refreshed after a long nights sleep.

We’ve found the best face washes that improve your skincare routine and make it easy when picking a skin saviour that will work for you.

Your skin will enjoy an invigorating deep clean with brands such as Nivea, Bulldog, and Aesop which will all give effective deep cleaning results. Here are our favourites…

How often should men wash their face?

Gone are the days when a splash of water and an occasional bar of soap would do the job. Now you can keep your skin looking in tip top condition with expertly blended ingredeints and enriching infusions.

It is recommdedn to wash your face twice a day, in the morning soon after waking up and the evening, just before bed.

Waking up your skin and having a refreshing wash not only gets rid of the impurities and dead skin cells from the night before but can also leave you feeling energized and ready for the day.

Washing before bed will clean away any dirt from the day and even touching our face can spread bacteria onto it. So, although tempting if feeling particularly tired, try not to skip that evening wash!

The best way to use a face wash

A facewash should be applied to damp skin, using circular motions to blend across the face. Some face washes are foaming and others designed not to foam at all, but the importance is placed on where you wash- all across the cheeks, forehead, nose, and even the neck and jawline. This is to ensure all impurities are reached to gently clean away any dirt from the day.

Rinsing with warm water, the wash can be repeated if desired (this is known as the ‘double-cleanse’). Some may also like to use a clean flannel or cloth to rinse of the face wash. It is best to always be gentle when doing this, rather than scrubbing which can cause aggravation on the skin but gently smooth across the face to remove the facewash.

Afterwards, carefully dry skin, patting with a clean towel to minimise sebum production.
