Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari is ‘NOT a gold digger’ & is ‘madly in love’ with singer, model’s coach insists
SAM Asghari’s high school football coach has leapt to his defense after he was branded a “gold digger” by Britney Spears’ team.
Members of the pop princess’s entourage reportedly believe boy toy Sam, 27, is manipulating Britney, 39, and trying to “commandeer her fortune.”

Sam’s former coach Jim Benkert has come to his defense by describing him as a ‘great kid’[/caption]
It has been suggested Sam is faking the relationship and even that he is paid to “babysit” Britney, who has been under an increasingly controversial mental health conservatorship since 2008.
Some of the Toxic singer’s fans also described Sam as a “gold digger” after he said earlier this year that he wanted to become a young father with Britney.
However his coach Jim Benkert, who trained the Iranian-born fitness model while he played defensive lineman for Westlake High School between 2010 and 2012, isn’t all about that claim.
Jim said that is not the Sam he got to know as a newly arrived young immigrant to the US.
Coach Benkert believes Sam is ‘deeply in love and deeply happy’ with Britney[/caption]

Coach Benkert, 63, who currently works as football coach at Simi Valley High, exclusively told The Sun: ”That’s not Sam. Sam is all the things that are positive in this society.
“He’s a great kid and he’ll be doing things the right way. I have every bit of confidence that he is madly in love and madly happy.
“I can only say great things about him… My memories of him are all positive, he’s an outstanding young man and works real hard.

Contrary to claims that Sam is after Britney’s money, Coach Benkert described his work ethic as ‘second to none’[/caption]

“He has a great personality and he is everything you could ask for from a coaching standpoint. His work ethic was second to none.”
The coach continued: “He had never played the game and had come from another country but from a standpoint of catching on and working hard and really getting the football culture, he did everything we would ask.
“As a standout defensive end, he had great speed and was learning the game and picking it up at an older age.
“He was a kid who loved to work out and the physicalness of the game. I’ve heard of what’s going on with Sam but I’m real proud of him, he’s a really great kid.”

Britney made the relationship Instagram official on New Year’s Day 2017 by uploading a picture of herself having dinner with Sam.
As the battle over Britney’s conservatorship has heated up in recent times, he has become increasingly vocal against her dad, Jamie Spears.
In February he branded Jamie, 69, a “total d**k” for meddling in their relationship.
Britney claimed the conservatorship has prevented her from getting married or having children again[/caption]

He wrote on Instagram: “Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.
“In my opinion Jamie is a total d**k.
“I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”
During bombshell testimony at her conservatorship hearing last month, Britney suggested that her dad – who also serves as her co-conservator – had prevented her from getting married or having children again.
The couple made their relationship official in 2017[/caption]
She told the court: “I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby, I have a IUD inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant.
“I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby.
“But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children – any more children.”
Britney already has two sons – Sean, 15, and Jayden, 14 – whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Jamie’s people appeared to hit back last week, speaking anonymously for a New Yorker expose on the conservatorship.
It was suggested that Britney was being “manipulated” by Sam and there is a “grave medical diagnosis” behind the conservatorship arrangement that the public has no right to know.
A member of her team told the magazine: “It is so f**ing irresponsible to say. ‘Let her do whatever she wants to do.’”
