President Biden Just Issued This One Message to 53% of Americans

During a talk this morning about the jobs report, President Biden was upbeat and wanted to focus on good cheer—the economy was rebounding, he said, and COVID-19 cases are down 90%, allowing Americans to enjoy baseball games and fireworks this July 4th. His numbers may be right. But before he could leave the podium, a reporter asked an inevitable question: Is he worried about gathering this July 4th, given the fact that there’s a Delta variant of COVID-19 that’s more transmissible and this week—after weeks of plunging downward—cases nationally went back up. Could there be future outbreaks? Read on for Biden’s response.

Biden Said He Was “Concerned That Lives Will Be Lost”

Biden said people should gather this weekend. But added: “I am concerned that people who have not gotten vaccinated have the capacity to catch the variant and spread the variant to other people who have not been vaccinated. I am not concerned there’s going to be a major outbreak—in other words, that we’re going to have another epidemic nationwide, but I’m concerned lives will be lost. And I was even reading the other day, there was some speculation…that you may be able to even communicate the new variant to your pets.” Two studies to be released next week will say that COVID may have been transferred to more pets than originally thought. “So I say to those of you who haven’t been vaccinated because you don’t want to go through it: It doesn’t hurt. It’s accessible, it’s free, it’s available. And don’t think about yourself, think about your family. Think about those around you. That’s what we should be thinking about today. 4th of July this year is different than the 4th of July last year. It’s going to be better next year.”

Dr. Fauci Has Warned These Areas of the USA Are in Danger

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the President and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, also expressed a “concerned” warning this week. “The concern we have is that we have pockets in this country, particularly, but not exclusively, among certain Southern states, where the level of vaccination is really dangerously low, around 35 percent or so,” said Fauci. He said we have 50% of the US population vaccinated but…Mississippi is at the top of the bottom, with only 35% vaccinated so far. Arkansas is seeing cases rising. Louisiana doesn’t have enough people vaccined. “It’s the concern about unvaccinated people. So, if ever there was what I would say a clarion call to people to please get vaccinated, you can protect yourself against a virus that has a better capability of spreading from person to person and that could make you more seriously ill.” So get vaccinated when it becomes available to you, and to protect your life and the lives of others, don’t visit any of these 35 Places You’re Most Likely to Catch COVID.
